draw a weapon but do not use

i show my weapon and defuse a situation nothing more comes of it, should i call 911? If yes, what should I tell the operator.

My instructor from my CHL class instructed us to call the police and let them know that you were under threat and brandished your weapon to diffuse the threat. Hopefully one of the lawshield lawyers can give more guidance.

Yes, you should call 911 to get police (and medical if necessary) assistance immediately after the incident. The only information the operator needs to know is your name, the location of the emergency, what assistance is needed, and that you have been the victim of a crime. Do not discuss what happened with the operator! Showing your weapon to another may be charged as aggravated assault, a serious felony, and everything you say to the operator is recorded. If something does happen, donít forget to call the Law Shield Emergency Hotline to speak with your lawyer as soon as possible!
