Concealed carry in hospitals
« on: June 14, 2014, 11:42:46 AM »
I am working to get The 30.06 signs from the hospitals I work in. GC Section 411.204 requires hospitals and nursing homes to post 30.06 signs and PC Section 46.035 prohibits CHL holders from carrying in hospitals. Defense against prosecution is that the CHL holder was not given effective notice under GC Section 411.204. What part of the statutes allows hospitals to not post 30.06 signs?

Dear jedeenmd,

411.204 of the Government Code requires hospitals to place signs keeping concealed licensed holders out. This appears to be a problem for our legislators as opposed to hospital staff.

Thanks for the question. Hope that helps.
