Question,,, I know I can legaly open carry on my own property... But, if I were at a friends house and he is aware that I posses a legaly licensed fire arm that has become exposed to plan view  "taking off my jacket covering it" while on his property, could I be in violation of my CHL?

Thank you for your question UltraClassic.

If you are carrying a firearm pursuant to your CHL on another person’s property that is not subject to public access, (for example, a private residence as opposed to a grocery store) then, as of September 1, 2013, you would not meet the “public place” element of the criminal offense of intentionally displaying your concealed handgun to another person in a public place.
