New Glock 43 (Single Stack)

Anyone tried or purchased this gun yet.  I'm thinking about getting something a little smaller to carry especially when I'm in a dress up mode.  This gun is a little lighter than my Glock 26.  Any thoughts would be appreciated...

My son has one and loves it. I can't leave my 26 with ability to have the increased capacity mags for it

Go to a gun store that has one for rent, and shoot it alongside a S&W M&P Shield in 9mm.. you get the same size gun, less felt recoil and better capacity....43 is 6+1 and the Shield is 8+1...i know only 2 rounds. I own a shield in both .40 and 9mm. The real test is what fits you better so like i said head to a gun store and shoot them side by side.

I bought the Shield. Didn't like it. Sold it. Bought the Glock 43. Love it. Much more comfortable to shoot for me. And it's a simple point and click interface. No pesky safety to mess with.

That's the biggest thing is what fits you best. Plus the shield is sold with no manual safety now....the only possible benefit for the safety would be pocket carry I guess

I shoot the G-26 better than the G-43, but I shot the G-19 better than the G-26! I like the G-19/26 when able, but the G-43 is handy for those times when the G-26 is just a bit too wide. Using a Magguts magazine spring and follower, I get a reliable 7+1, with a back-up mag of 7+1 with the Pierce +1 floor plate.
