Traveling from Texas to Florida
« on: July 27, 2016, 08:34:09 AM »
I'm a Licensed CC member in Texas and I'm planning a driving trip from Texas to Florida next month.  Do I have any issues/concerns with carrying in Louisiana and Florida?

Thanks

CongoHarry

Check with these folks.  Click on state of choice for specifics:https://www.nraila.org/gun-laws/state-gun-laws/texas/

Here is an attorney's reply to a similiar question asked previously in the "Ask the Attorney" section.

bhoefling,

You are correct that all of these states recognize the Texas license to carry so you will be able to conceal carry while you are in these states. However, as to the specific state laws and their nuances, please call in and speak to your program attorney who can discuss each state.

Gunlawguide.com provides a traveler’s guide to the fifty states that includes vehicle carry. It is a good reference.

I've done  your exact trip, and LA, AR, AL, MS and FL are all friendly to TX CHL.

AR does have an odd "rule" though, if you CCW into a person's private home, you have announce you are carrying.
