Carrying on Halloween with the Kids
« on: October 21, 2014, 03:28:57 PM »
We've had a couple of robberies in our neighborhood in Houston lately by individuals wearing skeleton costumes, and now I'm debating whether to carry when out with our two toddlers who will be trick-or-treating.  My wife isn't a fan of it.  Am I'm being a little over-protective or does anyone else with TOT'ers plan to carry as well?

Why would you not carry? The threats are rarely specific. You plan and train but as we know "the best laid plans of mice and men"......
You carry to protect yourself and your family. Believe in yourself that you are a good man and protect them out of love. You are not a monster looking for a kill. Don't forget a good light to complement.

Like "MIO"  Why Not? I'm past having todlers (maybe grandkids) but if I go out, I'm carrying. Not looking for trouble - just the way I go now.

You are going out with the kids to insure their safety.  You would feel awfully foolish if someone threatened your kids and you were standing there with you gun at home.  Carry it by all means.

When having a CHL, why not carry all the time.  I carry all the time like I carry my wallet UNLESS I see a 50% sign, 30.06 or any of the other places I CANNOT legally carry.  So in other words, if it's legal, I carry..
