Travel Multi State
« on: March 07, 2018, 11:08:15 AM »
I'm traveling to Texas from Florida in a couple of weeks I will pass through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and then to Texas. I have a concealed carry permit from Florida and would like to know what to expect in each state what is legal and what is not legal. Example if stopped am I required to tell if I have a gun in the vehicle. Which states can I carry in, which do I need the firearm locked up. etc.
Thanks for your help

Martin - as I recall.....this forum will not allow me to post "external links"

That being said just go Google:   CCW RECIPROCITY MAPS

Martin,

All of the listed states, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, recognize your Florida concealed carry permit. Generally, that means you can carry a concealed loaded handgun on your person in most public areas and in your vehicle. Each state has different gun laws, including where you can and canít carry, signage, open vs. concealed, etc. If you would like to know more about a specific state please call member services and a request an attorney for travel questions.
