South Carolina
« on: April 22, 2014, 10:44:46 PM »
I am a Florida resident and CCW holder.. I am looking at the map of "States Recognize a Florida CWFL" and I am a bit confused as to the laws in South Carolina. I currently only have handguns so my question is what are the rules in South Carolina? According to the map SC is of yellow color and the key says "handguns for FL residents only".

Does this mean that I can carry (concealed of course) in SC as long as I am a current FL resident & CCW holder?

Is SC a gun friendly state?

Yes, South Carolina does recognize your license as long as you are a resident of Florida, though if you moved to South Carolina, you would have to get a South Carolina license.

As far as South Carolina being a gun-friendly state, we have not heard of it being particularly hostile towards guns, but if your experiences differ, please let us know.
