carrying weapon in passenger side of vehicle
« on: May 05, 2014, 07:15:05 AM »
I and my brother are going on a road trip in Texas and I read some where that it was illegal to have a weapon in the passenger side of the vehicle.  I intend to take two weapons.  I do not have a CHL.  Can I carry the second weapon legally?

Great question pberns.

Yes, you can carry the second weapon legally. In fact, there is no limit on how many firearms you may have in the vehicle. The only requirement is that handguns be concealed, which means out of plain view. As far as the passenger compartment, there is no law relating specifically to the area. The only law is that your handgun has to be concealed.

Hope that helps.
