General Firearms Law Discussion / Re: Suppressor

Depends on the state. Oklahoma it's a no go

2
Round here the LEOs secure it and it can be retrieved later. One caveat though is that some will not give you the weapon and ammo at the same time. 2 pickups might be required. It varies.

3
Check title 21 professional sports don't allow carry. It was covered in the permit course.

Not a lawyer:
If your asking for HR218 you walking away doesn't make you retired. You will have had to retire under the department and state guidelines. Are you drawing a retirement? You will have needed to be issued a retired LEO card and qualify annually within their guidelines. The department and the FOP can help you as well.

Good luck on drawing that and I sure hope it's on one BG

Random Person: Why do you feel the need to carry a handgun?

Me: Because you never know when you'll be attacked by some ax-wielding maniac in a 7-11.
We just had a kidnapping and torture using an axe last weekend and I will never let the beheading in Moore Oklahoma that potus says is just workplace violence. Look at the knife attacks in China and Israel etc.
Edged weapons are no joke. I deal with them daily. Just don't get where the gun is the only option. Sometimes distance and opportunity must be earned. Probably preaching to the choir but ....

General Firearms Law Discussion / Okla changes
« on: March 12, 2016, 08:23:00 AM »
We have several things happening here right now with the possible addition of suppressors for hunting on public land (private land is already allowed) and a move towards constitutional carry, in an odd manner, that would allow open carry to be permit less.

It's good to be in America where pro gun legislation has a chance rather than Amerika where I hear the horror stories on the liberal nightly news.

You shoot "to stop the threat" say nothing more. Train as needed, do what is necessary and then remain quiet.
